Tristan Westlake (Goalkeeper)
Tris was last season’s player of the year, putting in some impressive performances. Joined from Almondsbury Town after a season or so away from Western League football.
Stuart Tovey
(defender) Arrived last season after deciding that he needed games not substitute appearances at Paulton Rovers. A tough tackler with 100% commitment – has certainly impressed in his short stay.
Andy Norris
(defender) Nozzer is one of our longest serving players of recent times. Has been a first team regular under four different managers, and for that reason it is assumed that he must enjoy playing at Welton
.
Jason Hughes
(defender) Hughesy won player of the year in his first season at the club. Without doubt one of the most consistent performers in the team.
Lee White
(defender) Lee returns to Welton to start his second spell with the club, Previously here under Bob Williams, he exited to start a two season spell at Bristol Manor Farm – now back in the fold,
Mark Thomas
(defender) Versatile player with a great deal of Western League experience. Will be a useful addition to the team and squad given his ability to play in midfield and at the back.
Craig Coles
(defender) Left back who is looking to make the regular step up to the Western League Premier Division. Solid in pre-season.
Andy Catley
(defender) Cats has joined from local rivals Radstock Town. Having previously had spells at numerous clubs including Southampton, Forest Green, Bath and Paulton, Andrew’s ability on the ball should help unlock numerous defences this season.
Kye Mountford
(midfield) Youngest son of manager Chris. Kye has worked hard to obtain a regular starting place over the last few seasons. His tenacity is one of his key strengths as he looks to continue to impress.
Rob Southwell
(midfield) No one said that combining Western League football with a successful music career would be easy. Rob’s football career has been supplemented by being a member in a successful local band. Back after a long term injury.
Nicky Olu
(midfield) New arrival this season – impressive in pre season so far, Nicky has added some bite to the midfield along with some great link up play. Will be interesting to see how he adapts to the Western League.
Ricky Briggs
(midfield) Another consistent performer now starting life in his third season at the PH Roofing Arena. Top scorer last season – mostly with some very crisp penalties.
Clinton Wilson
(striker) Another new arrival, Clinton has linked up well with his new colleagues in pre season. Good in the air and tidy on the floor, big things are already expected of Clint.
Dean Evans
(striker) Dean Evans is the second new centre forward to arrive this summer. Previously Dean plied his trade with Paulton Rovers, after a spell with a professional club. Tricky, fast, with a good finish.
James Cooper
(striker) Coops has played for all the teams in the club and has truly made his way through the ranks. He just needs a goal or two at first team level to make the journey complete.
Levi Marlow
(striker) The final member of the Weston Super Mare trio, Levi impressed last season with his direct style of play and physical attributes – he just needs to stay fit.
Chris M’Ford Jnr
(striker/winger) Another versatile member of the squad, who can play up front or down the right hand side. The first son of Chris Mountford Senior.
John Carver
(physio) JC has been around Welton Rovers for many years now – always on hand to help a player with a niggle or a strain.
Chris Mountford
(manager) Chris is now in his third season at the club after arriving from Odd Down. Quite simply one of the loudest grumpiest managers in the league – but he’s not too bad in the bar after.
Mike Ford
(asst mgr) Fordy has been around the Western League scene for many years – now in his second spell a mere twenty years after his first.
Jeff Evans
The Toolstation equivalent of Ron Atkinson has arrived here at Welton. Teaming up again with Mike means this season will be one to look forward to. Last seen in Barnstaple.
